Hereunder a text based on the website of the project: 'In 1906, the city architect Charles Van Rysselberghe made with this site the first 'worker appartments' from Europe. But at the end of the 90's, it was in a very bad shape... almost time to break it down. BUT the site was renovated to become a new pearl of architecture. '
With a lot of action, and a lot of respect for the original architecture, the 'Circus' was gerenovated. The result is a modern site holding 72 appartments, a multifunctional meeting- and reception area, 5 conference rooms and 750 m² area for exposition; all of this around a water surface...'
