The 2 parts of the English garden of the Wissekerke castle are joined via a wrought iron hanging bridge with wooden floor. This bridge was drawh by the engineer J.B. Vifquin in 1820. It can carry up to 40.000 pound, and is 28 m long. It was the first bridge of this type on the continent.
