This gentlema's house from 1900 in art nouveaustyle was influenced in its formgiving by the german Jugendstil. You can recognize here some elements that are typical for the architect Henry Van de Velde .It is a project of the architect Jules Hofman. In this building he plays with open and closed surfaces, f.e. the set backs.
Each window is in its own way unique in its shape.Especially the window of the groundfloor leans most onto the art nouveau with its horseshoe arch. The arch is decorated with the typical whiplash motif and floral decorations.
