This is in fact about four corner houses built in Art Nouveau style in 1899. They were drawn from architect Joseph Bascourt. The symbolism of the four seasons was refined by the use of colourful polychromy for the fassades. So the houses 'the summer'and 'the spring'became a green complexated look and the houses 'the automn'and 'the winter'became a brown look thanks to the layers of the balconies layers of the balconies in the masonry.

This was even more accentuated with the same colours in the beautiful wall mosaïc and in the cabinetwork.

The pictures in the mosaïcs aceentuate the symbolism: the spring as a young girl with muguet, summer as a woman with beautiful flowing hair, automn as an older lady with grapes and the winter as an old man with beard and mustache with snowed firt tree.

De gebouwen werden voorzien van opvallendeThe buildings have remarquable projecting windows with triangular plan. The architect used this way of building for other projects too.
