These ruins are a nice and rare exemple of a cylindric
donjon from the 13th century. It was built in this way to better resist
bullets and other projectiles. But the draw-back was that such rooms were difficult to
furnish.
The entrance was on the first floor, which anabled to easily close the entrance (by removing
the ladder in case of attack).
At the front side, you see the remains of the castle moat.
